TIbetan Medicine
Tibetan Medicine is a holistic approach to healing in which the balance between body and mind determines the state of health. This balance is maintained by three types of energy which regulate all of the functions in the body. These three energies are; Loong, Tripa and Badkan.
Preparation
1 - 2 days before the consultation;
Do not take alcohol, coffee and do not eat spicy food. Avoid strenuous physical activities and mental strain. Take a good rest and get a proper sleep.
What to bring along;
Collect your first morning urine in a transparent glass or plastic jar. Make sure the container is clean, otherwise the urine will be contaminated and it could change the colour.

Dr. Jamyang Tashi
He was one of the first Tibetan amchies who went with their medical students to Marhilha, Rothang & Triud (Himachal Pradesh) and identified many rare Tibetan herbs and plants. With his excellent teaching and his warm heart, he was much beloved by his students like their own father. In 1976, he was appointed as the personal physician to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and remained his physician until he (Amchi Jamyang Tashi Tsona) passed away in 1986.

Appointment

If you are consulting an Amchi or taking any Tibetan herbal supplements, we strongly encourage you to continue with your regular Western medical treatments and routine check-ups with your general practitioner or primary care doctor. Consulting Tibetan medicine does not mean you should stop taking your prescribed Western medications.
