Amchi Lobsang Tsultrim Tsona

Amchi Lobsang is the son of Dr. Jamyang Tashi Tsona, former Personal Physician of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. He completed a five years course of medical studies, followed by one year of internship at Men-Tsee-Khang in Dharamsala, India.

Before he graduated in 1986, he worked for 2 years as an apprentice to his father, a specialist in formulating herbal pills. He has also served as the Special Technical Assistant to the Director as well as the Member of Secretary to the High Level Medical & Astro. Committee. He was the co-editor of the book "Fundamentals of Tibetan Medicine" published by Men-Tsee-Khang.

In 1994 he studied at the renowned All-India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi to acquire further knowledge of western medicine. In 1999, he was awarded "Menrampa Chungwa" degree with 1st division after completing further training in the Traditional Tibetan Medical Science at "The Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute" (TMAI) in Dharamsala, India.

Amchi Lobsang has given consulations and lectures in many countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Canada and Japan. Amchi Lobsang has over 30 years of experience in Tibetan medical field. He is registered under the professional organization of BATC (www.batc.nl) in the Netherlands. He is the member of the Central Council for Tibetan Medicine. Since 2011, he was appointed as the Europe coordinator.

Amchi Lobsang is the founder and the director of the Practice for Traditional Tibetan Medicine in Ede, The Netherlands.
